Trainer Archive is a personal reference interface, not a service that collects your data. This page explains, plainly, what that means in practice — no legal filler, just what actually happens when you use the site.
Trainer Archive is a static, client-side interface that unifies three independent tools — PaldeaAPI, Holo-miner, and PaletteDex — behind one shared design. There is no Trainer Archive account, no server-side database, and no backend of our own. Your browser loads the page once and, from then on, talks directly to the public APIs each tool needs.
We don’t ask you to sign up, log in, or provide any personal information. We don’t run analytics, don’t use tracking pixels, and don’t maintain server logs of your activity — because there is no server for those logs to live on. Nothing you type into the search box, the PaldeaAPI request builder, or the PaletteDex search is ever sent to us.
The site uses your browser’s localStorage — a storage area that never leaves your device — for exactly three things:
None of this is transmitted anywhere. Clearing your browser’s site data for Trainer Archive removes it permanently and resets those preferences.
To show real, live data, your browser makes direct requests to these public services when you use the corresponding tool:
pokeapi.co) — species and sprite data for PaletteDex.Each of those requests carries the ordinary technical metadata any HTTP request does (your IP address, browser user agent, and similar). Those services operate under their own, independent policies, which we don’t control and encourage you to review directly if you have concerns.

The site isn’t directed at children and doesn’t knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age — there’s simply no collection mechanism to speak of.
If what the site stores or which third-party services it calls ever changes, this page will be updated to reflect that, along with a new “last reviewed” date at the top.

Card images, artwork, and card data displayed by the tools originate from the third-party sources credited throughout the site and in our Privacy Policy, not from Trainer Archive itself.
Use the site the way it’s meant to be used: browsing cards, inspecting foil masks, and building palettes. Please don’t attempt to automate high-volume requests against the underlying APIs through this interface, attempt to disrupt the site or the services it depends on, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
Everything on Trainer Archive is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. Because PaldeaAPI, Holo-miner, and PaletteDex all pull live data from third-party services in real time, that data can be incomplete, delayed, temporarily unavailable, or occasionally wrong — we don’t control the upstream sources and can’t guarantee their accuracy or uptime.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trainer Archive and its developer(s) aren’t liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site — including reliance on any data it displays.
The site links to and fetches data from third-party services (see our Privacy Policy for the full list). We don’t control those services and aren’t responsible for their content, policies, or availability.

Trainer Archive does not set any cookies — first-party or third-party. There’s no consent banner on this site because there’s nothing to consent to.
The site uses your browser’s localStorage for three small, non-tracking preferences: your theme choice, your PaletteDex favorites, and any palettes you’ve saved. Unlike a cookie, localStorage is never automatically sent to a server with each request — it simply sits in your browser until the site's own code reads it, which only happens on trainer-archive itself.
Because PaldeaAPI, Holo-miner, and PaletteDex fetch data directly from third-party services — PokeAPI, a Supabase Edge Function, GitHub’s raw content CDN, and cdn.malie.io — those services could in principle set their own cookies or use similar technologies in responses to your browser. We don’t control that behavior; see each service’s own policy, and our Privacy Policy for the full list of who we talk to.
You can clear Trainer Archive’s stored data at any time through your browser’s site settings (usually under “Site data” or “Storage” in developer tools, or your browser’s privacy settings). Doing so resets your theme to the system default and clears your PaletteDex favorites and saved palettes.
If that ever changes — say, if a future feature genuinely needed a cookie — this page will say so plainly, with an updated “last reviewed” date.
